This is a story about girlhood we’re socially not allowed to acknowledge in Western society, but mostly every girl experiences in some way.

With my last comment in mind, I feel that this piece depicts that and it's complexities in an honest, tender and beautiful way.

And I understand why someone might react strongly to this, but I see this piece as focusing on the interior experience of girlhood rather than anything exploitative. There’s a huge difference between portraying a coming-of-age moment and sexualizing a minor, and I believe this falls into the former.
